“I’m always the smallest” my daughter used to say. I’ve heard it so many times. Well… now she’s in 4th grade and that’s all changing. She has hit somewhat of a growth spurt and is no longer the smallest kid on the block. I think she wished she was still the littlest one of her bunch of friends now. Funny how they want to be bigger…until they are. Of course it crosses my mind about insecurities with herself and what that could possibly lead to. I try to encourage exercise and healthy eating (like most moms). I would like to know thoughts/stories/suggestions on how to help your daughter (or son) be comfortable with themselves…just as they are.
